Pimco All Asset: An Interesting "Alternative"

Summary and Conclusion
 Management  Philosophy  Process  Allocation  Performance

Process

While Rob has all of Pimco’s institutional funds at his disposal, the core of his portfolio can generally be expected to come from the following 14 funds which provide him with the tools he needs to diversify the portfolio and create his desired exposure to the market:

Pimco All Asset - Core Fund Options
Total Return Strategy Low Duration Strategy
StocksPlus Strategy StocksPlus Total Return Strategy
International StocksPlus Total Return Long-Term U.S. Government Strategy
Global Bond Strategy Real Return Strategy
Real Return Asset Strategy CommodityRealReturn Strategy
RealEstateRealReturn Emerging Markets Bond Strategy
GNMA Strategy High Yield Strategy

Throughout Rob’s career, he has developed and refined proprietary quantitative models to evaluate the relative attractiveness of various asset classes based on their historical trends and valuations. Using these models, he tactically allocates his investments in the underlying Pimco funds to over and underweight areas that he perceives are mispriced in the market.

In addition to Rob's asset allocation skills, the fund should benefit from Pimco's expertise in active yield curve management, credit analysis and bottom-up security selection in the underlying funds.
